DESIRED
RANGE AND EXTENT OF SERVICES
Dhyanapeeta Charitable Trust wishes to reach quality healthcare both preventive and curative to the remotest villages with genuine care and compassion to help the needy. We plan to expand the services range to include advanced diagnostics. We want to provide continued medical service to the people by running mobile dispensary and hi-tech ambulance which will support the weekly medical camps. They can provide daily medical services, consultation, diagnostic tests, counseling and health care education. This will enable the people to access medical services closer to their homes as far as possible.
Ayurveda and Siddha are two ancient Vedic sciences that have stood the test of time over thousands of years. The doctors of Dhyanapeeta Charitable Trust are experts in the fields of Siddha (complementary medicine) and the medicines are developed at an organic farm in Tamil Nadu. The medicines are made completely from natural products like herbs and minerals and are low cost. They are prepared under strict conditions exactly according to the injunctions of the traditional Siddha system. The powerful system also has various medicines and preparations that can cure ailments that would otherwise need surgery.
Currently, the medical cases needing diagnostic tests and further investigation cannot be done at the medical camp itself. So, the patients are
advised to get these done outside. The cost factor, the lack of quality of service, the lack of transport facilities prevent the patients from follow-up and getting these tests done. So, we plan to extend this service to include basic lab facilities of ultrasound, ECG, blood sugar test, Hb% test, pregnancy tests and pap smear tests.
The low level of awareness on health, hygiene and medical facilities available in the villages results in increased mortality rates, reduced quality of life and poor personal and social hygiene. To be able to awaken this awareness by reaching out to the villagers at their doorstep, we plan to run a mobile dispensary which will be equipped with basic equipment and interiors. The mobile dispensary will run twice a week and is expected to serve 600 people per day with the help of two doctors per visit.
Emergency health care is a need of the villagers that can be helped with a hi-tech ambulance. This will enable emergency care for all types of ailments, checkups and diagnostics.
